1These Regulations may be cited as the Armed Forces Act 2016 (Commencement No. 5) Regulations 2024.2In these Regulations, “the Act” means the Armed Forces Act 2016.3These Regulations extend to England and Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man and the British overseas territories (except Gibraltar).
1Sections 7 (immunity from prosecution), 8 (undertakings as to use of evidence), 9 (reduction in sentence) and 12 (supplementary provision) of the Act come into force on the day after the day on which these Regulations are made.2Sections 10 (review of sentence following offer of assistance) and 11 (review of sentence following failure to assist) of the Act come into force on the day after the day on which these Regulations are made, in so far as they are not already in force.
