The Agriculture and Rural Communities (Scotland) Act 2024 (Commencement No. 1) Regulations 2025

The Scottish Ministers make the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by section 38(2) and (3) of the Agriculture and Rural Communities (Scotland) Act 2024¹.

1 Citation, commencement and interpretation¶

1 These Regulations may be cited as the Agriculture and Rural Communities (Scotland) Act 2024 (Commencement No. 1) Regulations 2025 and come into force on 16 June 2025.

2 In these Regulations “the Act” means the Agriculture and Rural Communities (Scotland) Act 2024.

2 Appointed Day¶

1 16 June 2025 is the day appointed for the coming into force of sections 1 to 34 of the Act and schedules 1 and 2 of the Act.

2 Schedule 2 of the Act comes into force in accordance with paragraph (1), with the exception of the repeals specified in the table in the schedule of these Regulations.
