The Housing (Cladding Remediation) (Scotland) Act 2024 (Commencement) Regulations 2024

The Scottish Ministers make the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by section 39(2) and (3) of the Housing (Cladding Remediation) (Scotland) Act 2024¹.

1 Citation, commencement and interpretation¶

1 These Regulations may be cited as the Housing (Cladding Remediation) (Scotland) Act 2024 (Commencement) Regulations 2024 and come into force on 6 January 2025.

2 In these Regulations “the Act” means the Housing (Cladding Remediation) (Scotland) Act 2024.

2 Appointed day¶

6 January 2025 is the appointed day for the coming into force of all of the provisions of the Act, so far as not already in force.

3 Amendment of provision expressed by reference to date of commencement¶

In section 30(4) (reports on progress with single-building assessments and remediation work) of the Act, in the definition of “reporting period”, for “the day on which this section comes into force” substitute “6 January 2025”.
