The Scottish Ministers make the following Regulations in exercise of the power conferred by section 17(2) of the Abortion Services (Safe Access Zones) (Scotland) Act 2024¹.

1 Citation, commencement and interpretation¶

1 These Regulations may be cited as the Abortion Services (Safe Access Zones) (Scotland) Act 2024 (Commencement) Regulations 2024 and come into force on 24 September 2024.

2 In these Regulations—

“the Act” means the Abortion Services (Safe Access Zones) (Scotland) Act 2024.

2 Appointed day¶

The day appointed for the coming into force of the provisions of the Act, insofar as not already in force, is 24 September 2024.
