Historical Institutional Abuse

The Historical Institutional Abuse (Northern Ireland) Act 2019 (Commencement No. 2) Order (Northern Ireland) 2020

The Executive Office, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 33(2) of the Historical Institutional Abuse (Northern Ireland) Act 20191, makes the following Order.

1 Citation and interpretation

1 This Order may be cited as the Historical Institutional Abuse (Northern Ireland) Act 2019 (Commencement No. 2) Order (Northern Ireland) 2020.
2 In this Order “the Act” means the Historical Institutional Abuse (Northern Ireland) Act 2019.

2 Commencement

The day appointed for the coming into force of the following provisions of the Act is 2nd November 2020–
a Part 2 (The Commissioner for Survivors of Institutional Childhood Abuse); and
b Schedule 2 (The Commissioner for Survivors of Institutional Childhood Abuse).
